The history of this was built in 537. by order of Emperor Justinian and has survived to this day, but has survived various transformations. It was first built as a Christian church. From its construction until 1453, and the fall of Constantinople, it was an Orthodox church. After the fall of Constantinople, in 1453, when it was conquered by the Ottomans, it became a mosque. Until 1931. performed the function of a mosque, when it was closed and in 1935 it was opened as a museum in 2020. Hagia Sophia was again declared a religious building - a mosque. We continue the tour towards Topkapi Palace. Topkapi Palace was the main residence of the Ottoman sultans around the 4th century. Topkapi Palace consists of four main courtyards and a large number of buildings. In the first courtyard is Aya Irena, one of the few Orthodox churches in Istanbul. The second courtyard was used for official affairs of the Ottoman Empire. Here is a large kitchen, a collection of watches, weapons and more. In the other courtyard is the Harem, the place where the sultan's mother, wives and mistresses lived. In the third courtyard we can see the imperial costume, portraits of the sultan and other valuables. In the fourth courtyard there is another pavilion - as well as a restaurant with amazing views of the city. We end the tour by going to Kapali çarşı. The Kapala Bazaar is entered through 18 gates, of which 8 are large, while the rest are smaller passages.
